The project has provided a platform where classical musicians perform alongside qawwali, folk and other contemporary performers from different parts of the sub-continent. The outreach aspect of the programme in the form of various public events, CD recordings, publications etc. enables the public to be a part of the rich variety of performed traditions of Khusrau and Rahim’s works. The scholarship programme of the Aalam E Khusrau project supported young talented musicians in their quest to acquire various aspects of the performed traditions of Khusrau.
