The project has developed the existing SDMC Polyclinic into a space which is now frequently used by the community. By doing small additions and innovations to the structure, the clinic now also includes space for the community health outreach team to discuss community’s health issues with the doctors. Similarly, the health issues of the Basti people have greatly benefitted from the various urban systems put in place by the team like constructing community toilets leading to zero open defecation, redevelopment of the nallah space, converting the unused open spaces which were used as garbage dump yards, and setting up an effective door-to-door waste management system and regular cleaning of all the basti streets.
