The Biodiversity studies carried out by AKTC at Sunder Nursery in 2012, enabled documentation of bird, butterflies, and flower species on the site.
To secure bird habitat and encourage greater variety and number of birds, the landscape design includes spaces such as dense under-growth for ground nesting birds; shallow water ponds for birds that live off the water; sandy banks for birds that burrow to nest and hundreds of fruit trees and flowering plants now planted here.
While securing each existing tree, all of which are now recorded on a GIS system, high canopy trees are also being planted to increase available nesting spaces for birds and improved city environment.
