When children are denied access to a good quality education, they are often also being denied the opportunity to become fulfilled citizens.The link between educational standards and subsequent earning capacity is clear and well known, but the damage is not only to individuals. A t a national level extreme inequality in educational opportunities can a ffect economic growth. Creating a learning and joyful environment that encourages children to come to school combined with consistent good teaching can positively impact the academic attainments of children. The SDMC school in Nizamuddin fa ltered on all components that impact teaching – poor infrastructure, curriculum transaction and community engagement. The project is working on several components to strengthen and improve the SDMC school with the ultima te aim of improving the quality of education.
